Customer Success Lead
Built by the Beer Distributors, for Beer Distributors.
At VXP, we’re obsessed.
Obsessed with helping beer distributors run sharper, smarter, and more profitable teams.
Obsessed with transforming how sales reps behave in the market.
Obsessed with data, execution, and the little details that make big results.
If you’re looking for an easy job where you check boxes, this isn’t it.
If you think “customer success” means answering tickets, you won’t make it here.
But —
If you love the beverage industry…
If you get fired up by helping sales teams win…
If you can walk into a wholesaler, talk routes and goals, and translate data into action…
If you crave working with a team that moves fast, cares deeply, and treats every client like they’re the only one —
then you’ll thrive here.
We’re a small team with massive impact, serving the most iconic distributors in the country. You’ll be mentored by the industry experts who built VXP from the ground up — people who have run sales divisions, led incentive programs, and lived the grind of this business.
This will be one of the hardest, most rewarding roles you’ll ever take on. And if that excites you, we’d love to meet you.
Job Description Client Success Lead
Overview
As a Customer Success Lead at VXP, you’ll work directly with beer distributors across the U.S. to help them implement and succeed with VXP — the industry’s leading Sales Strategy Management platform. You’ll be a trusted partner who helps sales teams, managers, and owners connect their goals, incentives, and profitability using real data and real-world experience.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role that blends beer industry know-how, sales experience, and analytical problem-solving. You’ll be trained and mentored by the industry experts at VXP, learning directly from leaders who’ve run distributors, managed sales teams, and built the platform from real-world experience.
Key Responsibilities
Client Success & Relationship Management
- Serve as the day-to-day contact for assigned clients — ensuring they feel supported, informed, and successful with VXP as their partner.
- Build and maintain relationships with sales leaders, team leads, and ownership across your assigned clients.
- Anticipate client needs, proactively identify challenges or opportunities, and collaborate internally to deliver fast, effective solutions.
- Monitor client performance data and provide recommendations to improve usage, adoption, and results.
Onsite Launch & Training
- Travel to client markets during onboarding and launch phases to lead in-person training sessions for sales teams and managers.
- Support the client in the physical rollout of the platform, ensuring every user is confident using the app and dashboards.
- Represent VXP professionally and energetically in the market — you’ll be the face of the brand for many clients.
Implementation & System Setup
- Assist in goal setting, incentive design, and system configuration for new clients.
- Manage data validation, audit support, and user access in collaboration with the operations and analytics teams.
- Ensure clients are transitioned smoothly from onboarding to steady-state success.
Ongoing Success & Optimization
- Conduct recurring client check-ins, review performance metrics, and surface actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Support rollout of new features, ensuring clients understand and adopt new capabilities within VXP.
- Collaborate with analysts to triage bugs, test fixes, and log feedback to improve client experience.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
- Beer industry experience: You’ve sold, managed, or supported sales at a distributor or supplier. You understand how the business really runs — from display execution to sales calls.
- Analytical mindset: Comfortable in Excel and curious about how data connects to incentives, profitability, and performance.
- People skills: You know how to read a room, communicate clearly, and build trust fast.
- Self-starter: You don’t wait for someone to tell you what to do — you take ownership and make things happen.
- Travel-ready: Willing and able to travel for onsite client launches 10-20 weeks/year.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience managing incentive programs, CRM systems, or performance tools.
- Familiarity with distributor operations (AB, MC, or independent networks).
- Prior involvement in rollout or training initiatives.
Company Culture
VXP is a flat organization made up of individual contributors who are top performers. We operate with high trust and low bureaucracy — meaning you’ll be given freedom and responsibility in equal measure. Our culture values:
- Self-motivation and ownership
- Excellence over ego
- Collaboration without micromanagement
- Continuous learning and improvement
You’ll work with a small, fast-moving team obsessed with improving how sales teams perform and get paid.
Key Outcomes
Success in this role means:
- Smooth, timely onboarding of new clients with minimal hand-holding.
- High engagement and satisfaction from your assigned client portfolio.
- Clear, data-backed progress on client goals and incentive results.
- Strong collaboration with internal teams (analytics, ops, and leadership).
- Continued client renewals and expansions — because they see results.

- Works closely with: Operations, Analytics, Product, and Leadership teams
- Location: Remote (U.S.-based) with client travel as needed
